This is a non-functioning radio which needs repair.
The radio was working for me and then one day when I turned it on it was really silent on every single band despite what I set any of the knobs at. I used some tuner cleaner on the pots and switches and everything and it didn’t really have any effect. I read on forums that the capacitors should be replaced, so I ordered a Panasonic capacitor recap kit here on eBay. After replacing all the capacitors it had no effect whatsoever.
On some bands you can hear a slight hiss or background noise/static, on others there’s nothing really even with the volume cranked. I have a long wire 53 ft antenna on it and the only thing I am able to actually hear is 2 stations on AM broadcast band.
I have no idea what’s wrong with it and it’s beyond my abilities to fix it, so therefore it’s being listed here.
It includes the original speaker which is functioning but it needs a new wire (I had alligator clips to a phono plug on it to use it). The speaker has a decent amount of wear to the finish.
The finish on the radio is mostly good for its age but there are some scratches on the face as shown. At some point somebody removed the serial number from the badge on the back.
