VTG Set of 3 Tension Pole Glass Shades 2-1/8″ Fitter MCM Amber Orange Flashed

Description

This is a set of three vintage glass shades, suitable for anything with a 2-1/8″ shade holder, especially tension pole lamps. In classic mid-century modern style, these date to around the early 1970s. They measure approximately 5-1/4″ tall, 5-1/4″ wide, and have a 2-1/8″ fitter.

The shades have an amber coating (sometimes incorrectly referred to as “flashing”), meaning they were coated in cellophane or gelatin, and are not actually made of amber glass.

This makes the coating fragile, and you should avoid washing or rubbing it.

As you can see in the pictures, they are missing coating in some areas.

Otherwise, the glass on the shades is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
