Description
This is an antique Fostoria oil lamp which has been converted but the font is not drilled so it can still be used as an oil lamp. The lamp is quite large.
Measurement:
Width: glass body is 11.25″ wide.
Height: 10.25″ tall to the top of the burner where the socket is inserted, or, 13″ to the top of the socket.
Weight: 6lb.
The body is hand painted with background colors of yellow, red and green. There is a great patina to the metal over the entire lamp.
Condition (it’s best to see the video):
- There are some small pits / fleabites on the body as shown.
- The bottom fitter of the glass body has chips on the inside of the fitter as shown.
- There is some staining inside the body as shown.
- The cap for the font is not original – it has a B&H cap on it.
- The mounting hardware is not original but it fits fine without stripping.
- Oil components are untested.
The lamp will be dismantled for shipping and therefore will require assembly.
Lamp will ship insured via FedEx Home, and will be securely packaged. FedEx Home must ship to residential address only.
The box will be compartmentalized with the body to one side with protective foam, and the metal components will reside in the other compartment protected with packaging material.
Please see the video for a tour of the condition.
We have the original matching shade though the top is badly broken. It cannot possibly be shipped safely with this lamp. Given that it’s broken we didn’t deem that much of an issue. If you want to see it please send a message. The buyer of this lamp has the option to obtain the shade for only the cost of shipping. If you want it we will list the item separately for a very high price so nobody else buys it, then you will make an offer for $1 which we will accept, then refund the $1 after, therefore you will only be paying shipping.
Please ask any questions prior to purchase.
