VTG Set Cast Iron Lamp Base Weight 1/4 IPS Rod Switch Hole Cover Building Parts

Description

Pair of lamp bases / weights, circa 1940s.

Base: 7.75″ wide, 2.5″ high (without cover). Weight: 3 lb 8 oz. each.

Threaded rods: 17.5″ long, 1/2″ thick (1/4 IPS).

The base covers are brass and have oxidation / tarnish. There are a couple of small dents.

Rods have some scratching.

No cracks in bases.

The bases have a hole at the top for a rotary or toggle switch. There is a threaded cord exit on the side with a brass fitting.

These are meant for building heavy duty lamps as they accept 1/4 IPS rod as opposed to the regular 1/8, but you can also fit 1/8 if you use an adapter (reducer).
