LIMITED EDITION – due to the complexity of casting this particular model in chalkware, we have decided to only cast 4 units. 

This is a handmade chalkware finial, made by us. Our finials are created in the traditional style of chalkware. This finial has inset solid brass hardware. These are decorative art pieces crafted in the style of traditional American chalkware.

These are unfinished chalkware meaning that there is no primer or paint on them. They are intended to be painted by you. If you’re looking for finished pieces, check our other items. You can use acrylic, enamel, tempera or even watercolor to paint these. If you would like varnish, we recommend DecoArt DuraClear as we’ve tested it and it holds up well on chalkware.

Finials are hand cast, cured, prepared for painting. The entire process takes one week to complete properly, due to drying/curing and cleaning up the piece.

Please note that there will be imperfections and tiny air bubbles in the pieces, the surfaces aren’t perfect (nor are they supposed to be). See pictures for examples.
