VTG/Antique Spanish Gothic Revival Bronze Swag Lamp Pendant Amber Dragon Shield

Description

This is an antique bronze swag lamp, circa 1920s, which has been fully restored and rewired using aesthetically correct and period-correct components. It is ready to be hung in your home and enjoyed.

• ornate bronze body, featuring dragons, shields, intricate Art Nouveau-esque scrollwork
• ornate brass chain which compliments the lamp
• rewired with twisted black/brown zig-zag cloth, period-appropriate (new, reproduction)
• brand new porcelain lamp socket
• inline rocker switch (Leviton brand) and plug are both antique Bakelite
• textured glass with a rich amber color provides hues like the warmth of the sun
• uses standard-sized lightbulb

The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. 

The patination of the bronze is a magnificent rich tone, and sits exactly in the “sweet spot” of what we like to see for vintage metal color. The ornamentation is complimented and highlighted with darker surrounding hues. The wiring was specially selected to compliment the lamp and chain, rather than distract from it. The antique Bakelite parts were examined for safety and reused with the brand new porcelain socket and reproduction twisted fabric wiring.

The warmth emitted from the lamp due to the amber shade is excellent if you desire a nice warm-toned light in your space. Overall, it’s a very beautiful piece and it is ready to be hung in your home.

To hang, you’ll need a secure ceiling hook installed into a ceiling joist, or something to drape the chain over such as a beam. Included are three extra matching chain links and one brass S-hook for joining the chain to itself into a secure loop, which will keep it secure when hung.

This item will be heavily packed, padded and fully insured to ensure delivery in one piece.
