VTG Ornate LARGE 17″ 4-bulb Flush-Mount Ceiling Lamp Light Glass Shade Filigree

The fixture is made of steel and has a brass-lacquered banding around the edges. It has 4 porcelain sockets.

The shade is made of glass and although it appears to be etched it is actually beaded which allows diffusing of the light.

On the backside of the shade there are thousands of tiny beads applied to the glass, you can see this in some of the close-up photos. I advise using LED bulbs in this fixture to extend the longevity of the beading.

Measurements:

• Base width: 17″
• Base height: 1.5″
• Shade width: 16″
• Shade height: 2-3/8″
• Total height of fixture with shade installed, including finial: 4-1/8″
• Overall weight: 7.6 pounds.

Condition:

• The sockets are wired with waxed cotton wiring which needs to be replaced. The lamp was illuminated for the photos with caution but it is not safe to use as it is. Take note that the wires are riveted to the socket, they’re not screwed in.
• There is a small dent in the metal banding as shown which could be fixed (metal isn’t wrinkled), but I opted to leave it “as found”.
• There is a portion of beading missing on the shade which measures approximately an inch. There is a close-up photo of this in the photos. 
• There is some ceiling paint around the edges of the base.
• The glass doesn’t have any chips or cracks, shade is in generally good condition (except beads)
• Base in good condition
• The lamp is in overall good condition for its age and needs a little TLC.
