Description

This is a set of 2 vintage Westwood oil lamps which measure 9-1/4″ tall from the table to the top of the glass chimney and approximately 2-3/4″ wide. The lamps are matte glazed ceramic and the chimneys are partially frosted glass.

These are unsigned / unmarked, but the last photo shows “verification” that one of these are Westwood. Given that they’re stylistically similar, have the same dimensions and have the same mouth on the bottle, I feel it’s accurate to assume both are Westwood. The photo is taken from Tiki quest: collecting the exotic past (Duke Carter, ISBN 9780974328300).

Condition:
  • The inside of the lamps are clean with no visual or odorous sign of prior use.
  • The burners and wicks are unused and the wick knobs are working properly.
  • The metal on the chimney tabs have some corrosion to the finish as shown.
  • There is crazing on the lip of the bottle, both inside and out (see photos).
  • There is a tiny chip on the inside of the neck (see the photo of the crazing on the inside).
All condition issues are shown in the photographs.
The lamps do not have any cracks and have been tested to hold liquid without leaking.
There are no chips or fleabites on the chimneys.
Overall, I consider these lamps to be in “very good” condition, but you be the judge.
The lamps and chimneys will be packaged separately to avoid damage.
