Description
This is a vintage 1930’s Buddha lamp which has an incense burner built in.
The lamp is made in Japan but has Chinese text on the front “大佛香” which roughly translates to “Big Buddha Incense”. The socket is marked “Osaka Yamanaka”. The backside of Buddha is marked “Made in Japan”.
The lamp measures 9.5″ tall to the top of the socket or 14-1/2″ to the top of the harp, 5-1/2″ wide, 4-1/4″ deep and weighs 1 lb 10 oz.
It is made of some type of metal, possibly bronze. If you’re familiar with vintage coin banks it looks and feels like that type of metal.
The harp is fixed and cannot be removed.
The top of the harp has a thread of unknown size which can accept a finial.
Condition:
The lamp has been left in its original condition as we found it.
The lamp is untested and at the least will need to be rewired.
The cord is Rayon with a Bakelite plug and has fraying.
The harp has some very slight bending.
Otherwise, the lamp is in good condition.
