Vintage/Antique 22″ Meiji Period Satsuma Vase Moriage Immortals Table Lamp Gold

Description

This working vintage Satsuma vase lamp measures 22″  from the table to the top of the socket cluster, not including the finial. It measures approximately 7.25″ wide and weighs 6.2 pounds.

The finial measures approximately 2″ tall. The cord measures 5′ 2″.

The lamp cluster has two different sockets installed: one is Monowatt brand, the other Meteor brand. It accepts common household size light bulbs. The chain of the left socket has more resistance when pulling it than the right does. The left socket also has a split in its cup as shown. This does not affect functionality or integrity of the socket.

The lamp is fully working.

To attach a lampshade (not included), simply unscrew the finial at the top of the cluster, position the shade in place, and secure it by reattaching the finial

Condition:

• There are surface marks or scratches on the body of the vase as depicted. Near the foot of the vase there is chipping to the finish, but not the ceramic.
• The top of the vase has a gap in the gold band as shown, as well a small chip in the white enamel. Some of the dots throughout the body may be missing enamel as shown.
• On places where the white enamel creates a relief, such as on the top and on the kimono, it has crazing to the enamel.
